VF Ext copy The vision for The Vineyard at Florence comes from two ladies who loved their own experience in Italy so much they wanted to share it at home.

The property was chosen for its beauty as well as its ideal soil. Sloping hills of limestone and clay surround the valley with its gentle breezes, perfect elements for successful grape growing. Four grape varieties, Blanc du Bois, Cabernet Sauvignon, Norton, and Lenoir were chosen for their affinity for Texas weather and their potential for producing exceptional wines. Thirty-two lush acres of vines remains the focal point for the private homes, Villa Firenze, Villa Ella Amore and guest accommodations.

Inspired by Old World Italian architecture, Villa Firenze is home to the café, day spa, private event spaces and wine tasting. Originally constructed in New York State in about 1850 using timber-frame, the building was carefully transported to its current location where it was lovingly restored and further spaces added. The sundrenched courtyard, framed by herbs and flowers, faces the vines and catches the gentle breeze.

Originally, the only building on the property was a hay barn with its dirt floor; this is now the impressive Winery with its French oak barrels and stainless steel drums.

Villa Ella Amore sits beside Villa Firenze with plenty of natural light endless views of the vines. This open space is used for private events and celebrations.

The guest accommodations are found in a variety of different buildings scattered around the vineyards, each building offering peace and privacy.

The Visionaries:

The Vineyard at Florence was founded by two long-term friends, Ms Kris Davis and Ms Kambrah Garland, who fell in love with the Italian lifestyle, and wanted to share their experience in Texas. They wanted to create an air of relaxation and tranquillity inspired by the rolling hills and beauty of the Italian countryside.

Kambrah is the wine maker and brings a passion for growing grapes and is dedicated to increasing the quality of Texas wine through experimentation and ongoing improvement. The vision has been realized, stunning scenery, warm Texas hospitality, local art, live music with home-grown food and wine.

Welcome and enjoy!
